Cory Hunt

President | Coach

Cory is originally from Cottage Grove, MN and is currently based out of the Twin Cities. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Economics from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. 

Cory got his start as as scout with the Twin City Steel in the NA3HL where he eventually worked his way up to Assistant General Manager over the course of 5 seasons. He also spent time as a scout with the Michigan Warriors and Springfield Jr. Blues in the NAHL before spending 6 seasons as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel with the Northeast Generals in the NAHL. 

He also spent one season as the Northeast Generals General Manager in the NA3HL helping lead them to a 32-9 record and a NA3HL Fraser Cup appearance. Cory also has over 10 years of coaching experience from youth through high school and on-ice training for junior players. He is the current President of the Chippewa Steel in the NAHL, as well as, the Director & Head Coach of their 15U, 16U & 18U teams. Cory holds a USA Hockey Level 4 certification.


Cody Gonyeau

Vice President | Coach

Cody is a Sault Ste. Marie, MI, native who now resides in Boston, MA. He played competitive hockey through SMHA & Sault Blue Devil Hockey. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Central Michigan University. 

Cody spent 3 seasons as a Head Coach for the Cleveland Barons through 14U-16U. He also spent 6 season with the Northeast Generals in the NAHL as an Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach. Cody also served as the New England scout for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the BCHL.

Cody currently serves as the General Manager and Head Coach of the Boston Jr. Terriers in the EHL and Assistant General Manager of the Chippewa Steel in the NAHL.

Ryan Whitson

Director | Coach

Whitson started his coaching/scouting career in 2011 and has coached AAA hockey at every level from squirt to 18U since then. He currently is the Associate Head Coach of the 18U Cleveland Barons where in the past 5 years he has moved 40+ players on to junior hockey. He also works as a Regional Scout for the Chippewa Steel in the NAHL. Before joining Chippewa he worked 4 years for the Lone Star Brahmas, winning a Robertson Cup Championship in 2024.

Ryan holds a degree in communications from Bowling Green State University. He currently resides in Cleveland, OH.
